Files for CD-Recordables

NOTE: Files offered here should be downloaded not 'browsed'. Depending on the configuration of your browser, you may need to right-click or shift-click or otherwise avoid a simple click on a link to a file. Of course, HTML may be browsed or downloaded as you prefer.

Separate chunks of files are provided below for general, image files and audio

Autorun a data file: shellout.exe - a 20 KB file which operates as MS's SHELEXEC.EXE (found on the NT4 service pack CDs) does. SHELLOUT INDEX.HTM opens INDEX.HTM in the default browser; in fact sticking anything after SHELLOUT causes it to be opened in the default associated program. SHELLOUT is freeware for personal use and nag-free.
CLARIFICATION: The program is available freely for use on any disc where its distribution is not the purpose of the disc. That is, you could not sell a disc of utilities which included it, but you can use it as a tool to autorun any disc you may produce.

Check CRC of a recorded file: Noel Carboni NCarboni@worldnet.att.netprovides filecrc.zip to determine CRC of source files and those on a CD-R.

I noticed you had a phono preamp schematic on your web site. I thought I'd pass on the one I use. I built it into my turntable, so I no longer have to worry about grounding the turntable to the preamp. It's lower noise and has a more accurate RIAA equalization curve than the one on your web site. It's based on a National LM381A preamp chip.
